National Institute of Infectious Diseases received the 16th JICA
"President Award"

National Institute of Infectious Diseases has provided its technical support for overseas developing countries. In Viet Nam, our activities over 15 years have contributed to improving BSL3 laboratory management, bio-safety system maintenance, and testing technique for high risk pathogens. Moreover, such technical support in Nigeria, Democratic Republic of the Congo, and other developing countries has also helped researchers strengthen their testing systems. As a result, those steady activities in overseas countries have been highly acclaimed and brought the honorable prize to us.

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) gives the JICA 'President Award' every year to commend the individuals and organizations for their remarkable achievements in developing countries through JICA’s international cooperation activities. The presentation ceremony took place online on Tuesday, 15th October, 2020.
