The objective in Research Center for Drug and Vaccine Development is to develop and/or improve therapeutic and preventive interventions in infectious diseases. Because the development requires multidisciplinary approach, Research Center conducts interdepartmental, national, and international collaborative researches with many universities, research institutes, and industrial companies.

<VACCINE DEVELOPMENT GROUP>

LABORATORY OF HUMORAL IMMUNITY
To explore the humoral immune responses to pathogens and identify key immune components for vaccine development.
LABORATORY OF CELLULAR IMMUNITY
To explore the cellular immune responses to pathogens and identify key immune components for vaccine development.
LABORATORY OF INNATE IMMUNITY
To explore the innate immune responses to pathogens and identify key immune components for vaccine development.
LABORATORY OF VACCINE EVALUATION
To explore the immune responses to pathogens and establish the vaccine evaluation system.
LABORATORY OF ADJUVANT DEVELOPMENT
To explore the immune responses to pathogens and develop the vaccine adjuvant.
LABORATORY OF VACCINE DESIGN
To explore the immune responses to pathogens and develop the vaccine antigen.

<DRUG DEVELOPMENT GROUP>

LABORATORY OF DRUG DISCOVERY
To explore the drug candidates and develop the system for drug discovery against infectious diseases.
LABORATORY OF DRUG EVALUATION
To explore the evaluation and optimization of drugs against infectious diseases.
LABORATORY OF ANTI-PATHOGENIC TARGET DEVELOPMENT
To explore the molecular targets of drugs in pathogens and hosts.
LABORATORY OF DRUG DESIGN
To explore the drug design against infectious diseases.
